my clients They know how much I love turmeric and the benefits that this powerful ingredient can bring, even more so when incorporated into a healthy lifestyle. I’ve already made a post especially for Turmeric, in my pantry, It is worth reading to better understand this ingredient, get some ideas on how to use it and understand its benefits.

This milk comes from Ayurvedic medicine and medicinal practices in the region of India. Turmeric has always been known as the \”curer\” ingredient for its strong anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties. It is used to assist from flu, joint pain or decrease any inflammatory process (even cellulite). No wonder she never misses my pantry! Other than that, I love typical Indian cuisine.

This recipe was made with ingredients that work in synergy to increase the nutritional value and ensure more flavor at the same time. Turmeric milk can be a good dose of manganese (a super important mineral for collagen formation and bone health), in addition to antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agents. A touch of black pepper and coconut oil to increase the absorption of curcumin (the main component of turmeric).

I adapted the original recipe with cow’s milk, for coconut milk as a function of better digestibility. Coconut oil makes all the difference, making the milk even creamier and increasing the nutritional properties of milk!

I usually make this recipe before bed or while I’m working, in the middle of the afternoon.

  • 1 cup coconut milk (almond milk or any milk of your choice)
