english version? Click here! Today I’m going to give you some tips for those who travel a lot. I decided to make this post mainly due to the majority of my clients having a very intense routine of travel for work. I always emphasize in my posts and in my consultations about the importance of daily rituals and how to have an organized routine can positively influence our quality of life. Breaking this routine with events and travel, however, makes many people find it difficult to maintain healthy habits.
But I guarantee that after you get used to taking care of your body and your mind consciously, the process and habits become essential, in addition to being pleasurable. I love traveling and most of the time I already plan a few days before what my bag snacks will be, my book and how I’m going to escape a jet lag, for example.
That’s why I decided to share with you how we can organize ourselves to travel peacefully, without weight on our conscience for escaping the routine and still using in your favor the advantages of being able to practice our daily rituals in a destination far from home.
plan before
First, it is worth checking your airline’s regulations. Each has its own regulations for the items allowed in the luggage. In any case, small containers and containers are usually accepted.
On the plane…
- mini pots. Purchase small containers to take supplements, snacks, moisturizers, etc. Especially if you don’t ship any bags!
- hydration! Drink plenty of water before your trip and maintain hydration during your flight. Take a glass bottle or thermal (Ideal to be able to bring teas too). Glass packaging is better for the world and for our health! Remember to empty the bottle before going through the X-ray and ask the attendants to fill it for you throughout the flight! Bring sachets from your favorite tea! I suggest chamomile, ginger or mint! I like the brand tulsi.
- essential oils: I use a lot of essential oils and during the flight it can be something that brings you comfort and helps with digestion! I like the lavender (Lavender) that helps the nervous system by reducing anxiety and peppermint (mint) in the aid of digestive discomfort.
- Get Your Greens! Nothing better than natural vegetables and vegetables, but as airport life can be unpredictable, I like to take these sachets To maintain the intake of fibers, antioxidants and enzymes. They are great complements when we know that it won’t be so easy to eat a nice plate of salads and vegetables. option in Brazil, I suggest the pure life.
- No makeup! Less is more! If the flight is overnight, try not to wear makeup. Just your routine moisturizer! You can prepare your toiletry bag as soon as you disembark, if necessary. Ideal to let the skin breathe and be hydrated during the flight.
- snacks. Snacks & lunchboxes can save you from eating airplane food! I took a trip to Thailand without eating a plane snack, it was wonderful. Thermal bag is a fundamental utensil and light meals too (salads with sauce on the side, matcha balls, nuts, boiled eggs, carrots, humus paste and etc)!
- Happy reading! Airplanes are always good for reading or watching movies! Even more so for those who can’t sleep on flights. Take magazines, books, documentaries, etc.
- Blackout! I love using these \”eye cover\” to help with sleep or to relax! I bought one that has some herbs that relax (in the photo), but anyone is worth it! Example here!
- Fasting! Fasting is nothing more than an opportunity for your body to take a break! Some people feel better when they don’t eat any meals during the trip, preferring to eat something before getting on the plane or when arriving at the destination. Always listen to your body, but if you suffer from digestion and gas during flight, try focusing more on hydration with teas and water.
in destination
- Move that body! Doing physical activity outdoors can help you adapt to your local destination time and lower the jet lag. Research if there is a gym at the hotel or a studio close to yoga (or whatever your favorite activity)! Independent, take your complete workout clothes! If it’s a business trip, usually doing an early exercise is the key! Walk, explore the places you are having the opportunity to visit!
- Keep your supplements. I always take only the equivalent of supplements for the number of days you spend outside the house! There are really nice jars, I like of this
- Enzymes! They can be great allies when we travel! When we travel we eat a lot outside and foods that we are not very used to, so the enzymes can help with digestion! I like the natural source or enzymedica or zymelift (Brazil).
- Eat your greens! I know that outside the house or meals that are more work meetings can keep us away from salads, but how about ordering a starter salad or 1/2 portion of a salad to accompany your main course? Fibers are super important to adjust your bowel habit on the trip and help you cleanse your body!
- Enjoy! Traveling is one of life’s greatest pleasures, but I know that in many cases it can be pure work and exhaustion. Independent, always value the opportunity to be in a new place, getting to know local foods and different people! Keeping the rituals I described here can bring you more \”ground\”, which we lose when we travel a lot and stay away from our routine!
Hope it helps travelers on duty!
