homemade facial moisturizer

My adventures are no longer limited to culinary recipes! My new feat was to create my own facial moisturizer. I’m not expert On the subject, but I’m taking the first steps and I’m loving the result!
We talk a lot about healthy eating, but did you know that our skin absorbs a lot and that directly impacts our health? So it is very important to choose our personal hygiene products, home hygiene and be attentive to the list of ingredients.

The beauty industry

We also have to think that the beauty industry wants to make us believe in a perfect skin pattern. That doesn’t exist, it’s very important to make this very clear because sometimes we look at those photos and advertisements from magazines and get frustrated! Photoshop and Makeup, ok? nice to understand that with the years it is normal to gain marks, scars and everything that signals our journey of life.

We find a gigantic quantity of beauty products in the market, with the most diverse promises. But they don’t always have only benefits, 10 most toxic ingredients which are often used in cosmetics are: mineral oil (somewhat controversial), fragrance/perfume, Ditanolamine (D.E.A.), triethanolamine (T.E.A.), monoethanolamine (M.E.A.), hydroquinone, triclosan, lauryl (ether) sodium sulfate, sodium laurel sulfate, parabens (methylparaben, isobutylparaben, propylparaben) and aluminum for deodorants.

A study showed that a short break in the use of industrialized beauty products can already result in an improvement in the levels of substances that when present in our body  are able to influence our hormone production.

How to improve health our skin

Many of my patients have as a complaint about skin problems.  I believe a lot in a combination of factors to alleviate this problem, among them: food, genetic factors, hydration, sleep, stress and consumption of alcoholic beverages.

With that in mind, a great and simple strategy is to increase the consumption of antioxidant foods (fruits, vegetables, vegetables) with a lot of colors! Also cool don’t forget to include fats that carry thousands of nutrients (mainly vitamin E and A) and always stay well hydrated!

My skin is very sensitive and I also have rosacea, so I always had a hard time finding beauty products or sunscreen that didn’t irritate my skin or gave me an allergy. In addition to taking care of my food, I realized that only natural brands work well for me. I really like the honey organics Hawaii brand that does not give me allergy and also cocokind For makeup and skin care.

Each individual is unique, so it is very important to observe what works best for you. Observe your skin, if you suspect something, do a test avoiding the consumption or use of a certain food or product for a while to assess if the symptoms improve. And of course, for special cases, it is appropriate to look for a dermatologist, this post is not intended to replace a consultation, much less diagnose.
