Do you know a recipe that fills our eyes and fills our soul?! It’s this! I usually make this recipe here at home, in addition to being very practical, it is a great option for the days where everything we want is a sweetie. My strategy for these days is the following: listening and honoring the wills of my body. Of course, I try to do this in the healthiest way I can, opting for ingredients that, in addition to satisfying my will, will also nourish my body!

I always tell my customers: do you feel like eating a lemon pie or a cheese bread? Eat! We often end up eating triple when we don’t follow our true will. But this recipe was so similar to a brownie that in my desire for sweets it satisfies exactly what I want!

I like to make this recipe using an iron frying pan that can go in the oven, I use the small version (5-inch) of lodge, but you can use any shape, remembering that the bigger the shape the thinner the brownie will be. Over time and with practice I ended up putting together a list with some items that for me are essential and make my life a lot easier when preparing my food, you can check it out. here Some of the items I like to use. And now let’s go to the recipe!

Recipe

Ingredientes:

  • 1 1/2 cup cooked pumpkin (cabotiá or Butternut squash) ~ 300g
  • 1/2 cup almond paste Or 1.5 Vegetable protein scoop (use this or this, chocolate or vanilla flavor)
  • 2 full tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup of honey.  optional for those who want it sweeter – I usually don’t include it because the pumpkin is already very sweet. Note that if you opt for protein powder and it already comes with a flavor, you probably won’t need any extra sweeteners.

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pumpkin until soft. I usually cook in bamboo steamer, but it can also be cooked in the water.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth and smooth texture.
  3. Grease a baking sheet or iron pan with coconut oil, pour the mixture and bake for 25 to 30 minutes at a temperature 180°C/350°F.
  4. Enjoy!

Suggestions: include a pinch of sea salt on top, cinnamon, strawberry pieces or dark chocolate in the dough.
