I love a soup, especially if it is creamy and with a substance! According to Ayurvedic medicine, our health is not just based on what we eat, but on our ability to digest and metabolize food (which I agree 100%). Cooking or grinding a food can be considered a pre-digestion process, so soups can be a light and easy-to-digest option. At night time our digestive fire is usually lower, that is, the ability to break food through enzymes and gastric juice can be reduced.
The chill is slowly coming here in California and I love taking advantage of this time of year to renew my soup recipes. In addition to being delicious to eat a warm dish, it can still be a great way to include more fiber and super nutritious ingredients in the day.
This recipe contains several spices and super powerful ingredients that make all the difference in our daily lives. Among them, turmeric, mainly due to the presence of the curcumin component, acts as Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant in our body (here I made a whole post about this wonderful ingredient). Fennel seed, cayenne pepper and cinnamon, in turn, have a beneficial effect on our digestive system. and we still have the carrot, which is naturally rich in antioxidants.

The Autumn Wind is Already Around California. Soups are a good way to warm up our bodies and also a great way to add more fibers, powerful ingredients and nutrients to my day.
This recipe has many powerful spices and ingredients which are sources of nutrients that make a difference in our daily life. one of them is the turmeric (here i did a whole post about this amazing ingredient) which main active compound (curcumin) can act an Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. The Fennel Seed, the Cayenne and the Cinnamom, together have a really positive impact in our digestive system. and we still have the Cartts, They are well known due to its beta-carotene content which is a very powerful antioxidant that can be converted into vitamin a by our organism.
